The Author's Purpose - Grades 3 - 6.

This Pack is suitable for grades 3-6. Activities can be suited for whole class, individual or even group work. As you know an author has many purposes when writing. This pack will explore the 5 key reasons why an author may write a text. If you are teaching the younger years start with PIE (persuade, inform and entertain). It is important to note that when exploring the Author's Purpose, it is not always easy to find and sometimes a text may include more than one purpose.
