Inverse Operations Addition and Subtraction. Years 2 - 5

Hi Educators! 

Welcome to the Inverse Operations pack. The purpose of this pack is to help your students understand the relationship between subtraction and addition. Knowing the connection between the two helps in solving various types of mathematical problems efficiently. It also provides a method for checking the accuracy of calculations. 

In this pack you will find

• 12 x pictures of jars (1 - 12). These are the answer jars
• Inverse Questions (2 x pages)

Students simply solve the individual cards and place them in the answer jars. I recommend when teaching with this pack that you should encourage your students to rearrange the question so they can answer efficiently. 24 - ? = 12 or what plus 12 = 24 (12 + 12 = 24).
